generic brands
buy generic brands instead of brand label names the ingredients are usually exactly the same
cooper pans
ketchup or tomato sauce cleans cooper pans with little work on your part
Fabric Softner
I don't even bother 2 u the washcloth just spray the softner (50/50) right on the clothes from the washer. works great
Hiccups
If you have the hiccups, take a little bit (maybe half a spoonful) of dry sugar and swallow it. Don't let it sit in your mouth or start to dissolve--it will feel weird to swallow it dry but do your best. 9 times out of 10 it works!! My husband thought I was nuts but now he swears by it, I think it triggers something in your throat that stops the hiccups!
Small Animal Bedding
Don't EVER use cedar or pine chips for rabbits. They are toxic. Products like Carefresh work extremely well, and can be augmented with shredded newspaper to help last a bit longer. But no $$ savings is worth having a pet get sick or die. Check out House Rabbit Society for more information if you have bunnies. Thank you.
Women Shaving Arms, Legs
If you're using shave cream/gel, it's way cheaper to use regular soap. Bar soap is best for making suds. Get wet in shower, turn off water, soap up, shave away, then turn water back on to rinse off.
Energy savings
I turn my water heater off after dinner dishes are done. Turn it back on when I get home and ready for a shower.
I unplug everything when it's not in use.
I keep my curtains closed as to not let the Florida heat in.
I have changes all my light bulbs to the soft white swirly ones.
I hang all clothes on the line. My dryer is used for towels and jeans only.
And lastly I keep a jug of tap water in the fridge as so the kiddies don't run the water until it gets cold.
Hope one of these helps.
Dryer Sheets
used dryer sheets work great for the dust on most anything. I like using them on the T.V. Use them (not used) for giving your clothes a extra nice smell by puttng them in your dresser drawers! ahhh
