Make Silver Articles Shine
Use a toothbrush and regular fluoride (white) toothpaste to scrub every nook and cray of any silver article. It comes out sparkling clean.
You can also use baking soda on a toothbrush.
Unclogging Sinks
If you have a slow drain shake some baking soda on the drain and pour some vinegar over it. It will bubble up. Then pour hot water over it. It works like a charm and is cheaper than Drano.
Preserving "gold look" on jewelry
After buying gold jewelry to preserve the shine and to keep from turning apply clear nail polish.
Plax mouth rinse & Gum
Either dried gum or fresh chewing gum will come off in about 15 seconds after applying plax to area needing attention.
Silver Cleaner
I have found using an old bowl deep enough to hold your jewelry. Cut a piece of foil (cheap works well) fold and place in bottom of bowl. Put your jewels in add vinegar, to this add small amount of baking soda. Cleans great!
Shower Water For Less.
First get yourself and washcloth wet. Turn off water. Wash with soap. turn on water to rinse. Turn off water. Keep doing this until hair is washed and rinsed, esp. teens. Water on and off.
Freezing Meat
Use seal tight plastic wrap on individual pieces or store wrapped pkg and then put in "Hefty FREEZER bags w/zip" and mark month and year. I buy meat and chicken only when on sale and stock freezer.
I love the spiral light bulbs
They last a lot longer than the regular ones do.
