Mirror & Window cleaners
Use straight vinegar or straight peroxide on a clean dry cloth. Works wonders quickly.
Tissues
Tear tissues in half the long way to wipe little noses. It saves on tissues and if torn correctly tears very nicely.
Trash Bags
When using paper bags from the grocery store for your trash, reinforce the bottom with old newspaper or old plastic bags. Bags won't tear or leak when transferred to outside trash containers.
Dishwashing / Cleaning Sponges
Buy the type and style you want, then take a pair of scissors and cut each one in half. The perfect size for cleaning dishes and this makes them economical enough to buy the brand and style you want!
Getting Skunked
If your dog gets skunked, before getting the expensive shampoo at your local pet store, buy the vingar douche. Bathe your pet first, then apply the douche and wash thoroughly with that. Then again shampoo and rinse. It really worked and saved a great deal of money. Plus one extra bottle in case of emergency.
Fabric Softner / Smell Removal
Use 1/2 - 1 cup of baking soda with your wash. Whites are whiter, no smell and clothes come out soft
Cleaning Copper
Rub mayonise on your copper pans let sit a few minutes, wipe off. Great for any copper, it works.
Light
When we built our house I had skylights put in kitchen and both bathrooms. People keep trying to turn off the lights. Save on electric bill. Further I use a gas drying which is more efficient and cost effective.
